Linda Pettie
The hinterlands of the natural world are an endless source of inspiration for Linda. Currently enjoying experimenting with oils and palette knives, her memory returns often to these remote lands to re-imagine in her paintings their lonely mountains, mysterious caverns and forested backwaters. The attempt to capture the drama of those untamed corners when caught in a fleeting moment of light and colour is always exciting!
Whenever Linda could find the time, out would come the paints. Over the years she has created pieces for galleries and for private commissions – also attracting the attention of the Conran Group who commissioned six paintings for Habitat. Her work is also held in private collections in London and Australia.
