Born in 1960 in the Hertfordshire village of Welwyn, I moved to Hawick in the Scottish borders in 1969 and have lived there ever since. I have come to love Scotland, especially the highlands and islands which strongly influence my work.
My love of paintings and pictures goes back to early school days, and in third year in high school my decision to choose O’ Level art, with 8 out of 40 periods a week and a great teacher, became the start of a lifelong passion.
I paint for pleasure and have found that quite a number of people find pleasure in my paintings and want to buy them. This is a lovely feeling although I have been loathe to part with many of them!
From September 2008 I have been working from the WASPS studio in Selkirk.
